With so much travel I was thankful to have a chance to get back into normal life and catch up at work. I didn’t do too much tourism in Colombo other than when I spent time with my coworker there. He’s the kind of guy who makes you feel better whenever he’s around.
It’s hard to see in this picture but the electrical lineman climbed up the pole and is just hanging on. Reminds me of the pictures from the earlier days at the rural cooperatives around the United States.
Even though there was a tussle after the first night and I had to move into another flat, the Airbnb I stayed in was a highlight of my time in Colombo. Actually I lacked good WiFi basically the entire trip but my room was a place of solace for me and I enjoyed being by myself. It’s been a long time since I enjoyed that. The roof access gave a good sunset view.
